Gardening might seem like an environmentally-friendly activity, but there are lots of things you can do that might have a detrimental effect on the environment instead. This could involve using different kinds of weed killers and pesticides, using various tools that can destroy animals’ habitats, or killing certain kinds of insects. If you love your garden, love the environment as well.
One of the main things to do is to think about the wildlife that use your garden. If there are lots of bees, then grow plants that they will love. If you know that you have hedgehogs, it is always nice to make sure they have easy access to your garden and have safe places to hide, with hedges, undergrowth and logs. Don’t garden too much – if you can, leave you garden with some more wild areas, which will encourage wildlife in and make sure they are safe and comfortable.
